What we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.
Last updated 13 September 2026
Aldwell Partners LLC is the controller of personal information collected through this website. This policy covers the website only. Information handled under a signed engagement is governed by that engagement letter and the accompanying non-disclosure agreement.
Information you give us
When you submit an enquiry or send us an email we collect your name, your firm, your email address, any telephone number you choose to provide, and the content of your message.
Please do not send confidential or price-sensitive information before a non-disclosure agreement is in place.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting and caching infrastructure records standard technical data: IP address, browser type and version, device type, the referring page, the pages requested and the time of each request. We use this to keep the site available, secure and reasonably fast.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to function and to serve cached pages quickly. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles and we do not run third party advertising trackers.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Parts of the site may then behave unexpectedly.
How we use the information
To respond to your enquiry and discuss a possible mandate; to provide and administer services under an engagement; to maintain the security of the site and prevent misuse; to meet legal, tax and record-keeping obligations; and to understand which parts of the site are useful so that we can improve them.
Our legal grounds
For visitors in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries and operating a secure website; on the performance of a contract where an engagement is in place; on your consent where we have asked for it; and on legal obligation where the law requires us to retain or disclose information.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising. We share it with the service providers who host this site, deliver our email and maintain our systems, each bound by confidentiality and permitted to use it only on our instructions.
We may disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
International transfer
Our website and email are hosted in the United States. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred there and handled in accordance with this policy.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are kept for up to twenty-four months. Records relating to an engagement are kept for the period set out in the engagement letter and required by applicable law, typically seven years. Server logs are kept on a short rolling cycle.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection, and access to enquiry data is limited to the personnel who need it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable form, and to withdraw consent where we relied on it.
California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by California law, and you may request access to or deletion of your information.
To exercise any of these rights, email Info@aldwellpartners.com. We may ask you to verify your identity first. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
This site is directed to business professionals. It is not intended for anyone under sixteen, and we do not knowingly collect information about children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The version published on this page, with the date shown above, is the version that applies.
